Freelance Dutch Linguist
Job Summary
To support international localization projects, a native Dutch-speaking Freelance Dutch Linguist will perform Machine Translation Post-Editing, provide human translation as needed, and ensure linguistic accuracy in IT and software-related content while working remotely on a long-term basis.
Key responsibilities
- Perform Machine Translation Post-Editing (MTPE) of Catalan content
- Review and edit translated content for linguistic accuracy, fluency, and consistency
- Occasionally provide human translation and follow project-specific guidelines
Required qualifications
- Native-level Dutch proficiency
- At least 3 years of professional experience as a linguist, translator, or MTPE specialist
- Proven experience in IT/software localization
- Excellent command of Dutch grammar, style, and terminology
- Familiarity with CAT tools and localization workflows is highly desirable
