Seeking a seasoned Freelance Energy Publicist, this part-time remote role will average 15-20 hours per month, focusing on leveraging media relationships, crafting strategic pitches, and securing media coverage in the energy sector.

Key responsibilities

• Leverage existing media relationships and build new connections with journalists and producers in the energy industry
• Draft targeted media pitches and lists, pitching story ideas to secure editorial placements
• Monitor trends and identify coverage opportunities to generate strategic media interviews

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of media relations or PR experience
• A proven network of energy industry reporters
• Strong, creative writing skills in AP style
• Ability to craft compelling and newsworthy pitches
• Highly self-motivated with excellent organizational skills and Microsoft Office proficiency
