Freelance Media Relations Executive

Job Summary

Seeking a Freelance Media Relations Executive, the remote position will develop and execute large-scale media strategies, interface with client leadership, and mentor junior staff while working collaboratively within the Corporate Affairs Practice.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and support the creation of media strategies and present recommendations to clients
• Conduct proactive media relations and oversee the development of media materials
• Develop meaningful relationships with journalists and provide insights on media trends

Required qualifications

• 8-10 years of experience in corporate media relations, preferably in healthcare
• EVP-level candidate with an agency or in-house background
• Established relationships with top-tier business, health, and tech journalists
• Strong writing skills for both prose and presentations
• Experience with media databases
