Freelance Podcast Producer

Job Summary

Working remotely on a part-time contract basis, the Freelance Podcast Producer will collaborate with hosts to plan and record episodes of The Readout LOUD, edit audio using Adobe Audition, and prepare the show's weekly newsletter.

Key responsibilities:

• Planning weekly episodes with the hosts
• Recording episodes remotely and editing audio
• Preparing and sending the weekly podcast newsletter

Required qualifications:

• Experience producing editorial podcasts or audio journalism projects
• Strong audio editing skills, particularly with Adobe Audition
• Sound editorial judgment and comfort working with reporters and hosts
• Ability to manage a weekly production schedule
• Interest or experience in biotech, health care, or science journalism is a plus
