Freelance Research Physicist

Job Summary

To support innovative AI projects, the part-time Freelance Research Physicist will design original optics problems that simulate real physics research workflows and ensure they are computationally intensive and require non-trivial reasoning across various physics disciplines, all while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Design original optics problems based on real research challenges and practical applications
• Ensure problems are computationally intensive and require complex reasoning in mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, and quantum mechanics
• Document problem statements clearly and provide verified correct answers

Required qualifications

• Degree in Physics (Theoretical, Experimental, or Computational) or related fields
• 2+ years of professional experience in applied, research, or teaching roles
• Experience with numerical simulation methods
• Ability to design problems that reflect real physics research workflows
• Strong written English proficiency (C1+ level)
