Job Summary
Working remotely on a contracted to full-time basis, the Freelance Surfacing / Look Development Artist will create high-quality textures, materials, and shaders for animated productions while ensuring assets align with the project's artistic vision within the Unreal Engine pipeline.
Key responsibilities
- Create textures for characters, props, and environments
- Develop materials and shaders for Unreal Engine
- Perform look development to match the project's visual style
Required qualifications
- Strong texturing skills using Substance Painter or equivalent software
- Proven experience performing look development for characters, props, and environments
- Organized and speedy UV skills to improve asset quality and efficiency
- Strong understanding of materials, shaders, and surfacing workflows within Unreal Engine 5
- Experience creating high-quality, production-ready textures and materials that align with an established visual style
