Freight Broker

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Cradle to Grave Freight Broker to join their expanding team.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and contact prospects to generate sales on both the produce and freight sides of the business
• Grow a book of business, develop weekly load volume with customers, and procure carriers for load delivery
• Manage the entire process from load procurement to price negotiations and ensure timely submission of administrative paperwork

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant industry experience as a Transportation Broker in produce and dry freight
• Experience and industry relationships with produce growers and/or trucking companies
• Understanding of the mechanics and technical aspects of brokering
• Strong knowledge of contractual rules and regulations in the produce and freight transportation sectors
• Proactive and innovative mindset with an entrepreneurial spirit
