Freight Operations Dispatcher

Job Summary

Responsible for sourcing, vetting, and managing relationships with motor carriers, the full-time Freight Operations Dispatcher will negotiate freight rates, resolve operational issues, and ensure compliance while working remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Identifying, vetting, and onboarding new motor carriers to support capacity needs using transportation management systems (TMS)
• Negotiating freight rates and contracts with carriers to ensure cost-effective pricing
• Addressing and resolving issues related to carrier performance, such as missed appointments and tracking problems

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in freight brokerage, carrier sales, or logistics coordination
• Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities
• Understanding of transportation modes, rate structures, and supply chain network design
• Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and CRM software
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
