Friedreich's Ataxia Columnist

Job Summary

To support the Friedreich's Ataxia community, a contract Friedreich's Ataxia Columnist will write personal essays weekly, sharing insights and experiences related to living with the condition, while working remotely and collaborating with editors for content refinement.

Key responsibilities

• Submit weekly drafts of 400-800 words that meet editorial guidelines
• Communicate effectively with managers and editors regarding content and revisions
• Complete assigned training and adhere to deadlines for article submissions

Required qualifications

• Must be a member of the Friedreich's ataxia community, preferably as a caregiver
• At least three months of direct experience caring for someone with Friedreich's ataxia
• Prior experience writing for an audience
• Ability to produce content that engages and informs the target audience
• Native or fluent English writing and reading abilities
