Front End Developer

Job Summary

Supporting a broad portfolio of public-facing websites, the long-term contract Front End Developer will maintain accurate web content, improve site usability, and ensure a consistent user experience while working remotely from Austin, Texas.

Key responsibilities

• Manage ongoing updates to content across multiple county websites, ensuring accuracy and clarity
• Refine page layouts and interface elements to enhance usability and visual consistency
• Process incoming website support requests and track work to completion within established timelines

Required qualifications

• Hands-on experience with HTML, CSS, and front-end development practices
• Practical knowledge of CMS platforms, including WordPress and Wix
• Familiarity with service request or ticket management tools such as Jira Service Desk or ServiceNow
• Experience performing quality assurance for website updates
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to respond professionally to stakeholder requests
