Front End Software Engineer
Job Summary
Driving the architecture of JavaScript tooling, the full-time Staff Software Engineer will design and implement compiler enhancements, build developer tools, and integrate LLM-powered capabilities to improve the developer experience across multiple products.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of JavaScript transformations and compiler passes to enhance code quality and performance
- Build and enhance developer tooling infrastructure, including linters and test runners, used by thousands of engineers
- Drive end-to-end delivery of major JavaScript tooling initiatives, coordinating with cross-functional teams
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- 8+ years of experience in front-end software engineering, including proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Experience leading complex front-end initiatives with cross-team coordination and phased rollouts
- Proven ability to design scalable and accessible user interface systems for large user bases
- Experience using data and experimentation frameworks to inform front-end product decisions
