Front End WordPress Engineer

Job Summary

Working fully remote in a full-time direct hire capacity, the Front End WordPress Engineer will develop and maintain complex WordPress themes and custom Gutenberg blocks using React.js, while providing technical support and managing multiple client projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide front-line technical support by monitoring and responding to client support tickets, triaging bugs, and clarifying UI/UX requirements
• Manage a high volume of concurrent client projects, implementing quick fixes and shipping feature updates without sacrificing quality
• Debug cross-browser issues and enhance responsive design and accessibility on legacy interfaces

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Front End WordPress Engineer, with experience in WordPress VIP web properties
• Authority-level command of modern front-end technologies: CSS, JavaScript, and React.js
• 2+ years of experience in Gutenberg block development
• 2+ years of PHP experience, sufficient to navigate WordPress architectures
• Proven debugging skills for UI glitches, CSS/JS conflicts, and cross-browser compatibility
