Frontend Design Systems Engineer

Job Summary

To enhance the design system for a complex enterprise product, the full-time Frontend Design Systems Engineer will work remotely, leading the evolution of frontend components and collaborating with UX, Product, and Engineering teams to create reusable application patterns that improve user workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and improvement of the frontend design system, focusing on component quality and usability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand needs and prioritize the creation of reusable frontend foundations
• Document design decisions and create clear conventions to ensure effective adoption of the design system across teams

Required qualifications

• At least 10 years of professional experience in software development with a focus on design systems or component libraries
• Expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, TailwindCSS, and HTML
• Strong understanding of software design principles, patterns, and best practices
• Experience with agile development methodologies and tools, such as Scrum or Kanban
• Familiarity with design tools like Figma for translating designs into production-ready code
