Job Summary
To drive a focused push on accessibility across the product, the remote Frontend Engineer, Accessibility will work on a contract basis for 3 months, addressing audit findings, remediating WCAG 2.1 AA issues, and collaborating with design and engineering teams to enhance the accessibility of the Brisk Extension and web app.
Key responsibilities
- Work through accessibility audit findings, prioritizing and shipping fixes based on a clear plan
- Remediate WCAG 2.1 AA issues, including semantic HTML, ARIA, keyboard navigation, and screen reader support
- Document accessibility patterns and collaborate with teams to ensure ongoing compliance post-engagement
Required qualifications
- Strong frontend engineering experience, particularly in React and TypeScript
- Experience with semantic HTML, ARIA, and keyboard interactions related to accessibility
- Familiarity with design systems or shared component libraries
- Proficiency in using browser developer tools for accessibility debugging
- Solid CSS and layout fundamentals, including Flexbox and Grid
