Frontend Engineer (GIS)
Job Summary
To support the development of intuitive and data-driven web applications, the full-time Frontend Engineer (GIS) will build and enhance interactive maps, develop operational dashboards, and implement accessible frontend experiences while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Build and enhance large-scale interactive maps with layer controls and operational features
- Develop and maintain operational dashboards, transforming complex data into user-friendly interfaces
- Implement accessible frontend experiences in alignment with WCAG 2.1 AA requirements
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- 4+ years of professional experience in Frontend Development or Frontend Engineering
- Strong hands-on experience with modern JavaScript frameworks, preferably React or Angular
- Experience building interactive web maps using technologies like ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript or Google Maps
- Hands-on experience implementing WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility requirements in frontend applications
