Frontend Engineering Manager

Job Summary

Leading a high-performing team, the full-time salaried Frontend Engineering Manager will be responsible for overseeing the development of Zocdoc's design system and accessible React component library, driving adoption across product teams, and enhancing the frontend and mobile development experience in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Managing and growing a team of frontend engineers focused on design systems and accessible component libraries
• Owning the strategy and roadmap for the design system, ensuring it serves as the foundation for feature development across all product teams
• Driving accessibility initiatives across web and mobile platforms, establishing processes for consistent and measurable standards

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software development with a strong foundation in frontend technologies (React, TypeScript, JavaScript) and mobile development (iOS or Android)
• 2+ years of experience leading and inspiring engineering teams
• Experience building or significantly contributing to a design system or shared component library
• Proven leadership experience in shipping polished, accessible consumer products across web and mobile
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
