FSA Actuary - VBC Contracting

Job Summary

Managing actuarial analytics and leading a team, the full-time remote FSA Actuary - VBC Contracting will develop actionable insights, support financial objectives, and represent the Actuarial department to internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Direct the efforts of actuarial staff to achieve departmental goals set by senior management
• Collaborate with senior management to establish long-term strategy within the Actuarial department
• Hire, recruit, and develop a high-performing actuarial team with optimal work distribution

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science, Finance, Mathematics, or related field, or an additional 4 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree
• Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) certification required upon hire
• 8 years of progressively responsible pricing and actuarial experience in health care
• 3 years of management experience
• Extensive knowledge of risk evaluation and various health insurance products
