FSA Licensed Actuarial Manager
Job Summary
To support the financial soundness of Select Health and Intermountain, the full-time remote FSA Licensed Actuarial Manager will apply actuarial principles to oversee financial calculations, manage ACA and Medicare filings, and contribute to provider contracting strategies.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee the calculation and management of financial statements, including IBNR reserves and actuarial forecasting models
- Coordinate ACA strategy and risk adjustment accruals while ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations
- Direct Medicare bid filing development and conduct in-depth financial analysis for Medicaid and pharmacy benefits
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in math, statistics, computer science, economics, or finance from an accredited institution
- Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) or Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) with 12 or 14 years of relevant actuarial experience, respectively
- Understanding of health insurance products and the underlying theory of assumptions used in product development
- Minimum of 4 years of actuarial managerial experience
