Full Stack Developer

Job Summary

To support a growing Veterans Affairs initiative, the part-time Full Stack Developer will build and maintain cloud-based web applications and RESTful APIs, ensuring reliable data processing and integration in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Build, support, and migrate a cloud-based web dashboard application for processing healthcare EDI transactions
• Design and maintain RESTful APIs in Java and/or NodeJS, integrating with internal platform APIs and EDI processing pipelines
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate data delivery and participate actively in code reviews and testing

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience with a strong focus on back-end integration using Java and/or NodeJS
• Hands-on experience with Angular for front-end development and API integration
• Proven ability to build RESTful APIs that handle structured healthcare data
• Experience with cloud services, particularly AWS, including API Gateway and Lambda
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
