Full Stack Developer

Job Summary

To support the Veterans Affairs department, the part-time Full Stack Developer will build, maintain, and migrate a cloud-based Web Dashboard application for processing healthcare EDI transactions, while integrating with APIs and collaborating with cross-functional teams remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Build and support a cloud-based Web Dashboard application, including integrating with internal platform APIs and data services
• Design and maintain RESTful APIs in Java and/or NodeJS for transforming and serving healthcare EDI records
• Collaborate with back-end engineers to define API contracts and ensure reliable data delivery while writing clean, testable code

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience with a strong focus on back-end technologies (Java and/or NodeJS)
• Proven experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs, particularly in healthcare or enterprise environments
• Hands-on experience with Angular and integrating APIs for front-end development
• Familiarity with cloud services (AWS/Azure) and related technologies
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
