Full Stack Developer

Job Summary

To support the Veterans Affairs department, the full-time remote Full Stack Developer will build and maintain a cloud-based Web Dashboard application for processing healthcare Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transactions while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable data delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs in Java and/or NodeJS for EDI healthcare records
• Support an Angular-based dashboard front-end, integrating APIs and ensuring accurate data presentation
• Write clean, testable code and participate in code reviews, focusing on best software engineering practices within an Agile framework

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience with strong back-end focus in Java and/or NodeJS
• Proven experience building RESTful APIs and integrating with Angular front-end applications
• Hands-on experience with AWS or Azure cloud services
• Experience with unit and integration testing frameworks (JUnit, Jest, or equivalent)
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
