Job Summary
To support the modernization of FEMA's National Flood Insurance Program, a senior Full Stack Developer (Java) will design, build, and lead cloud-hosted enterprise applications remotely in a full-time capacity, focusing on application architecture, microservices design, and full stack development on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, cloud-native application architectures using Java (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud) on GCP
- Lead full stack development across backend APIs (Java/REST) and front-end layers (React or Angular)
- Oversee CI/CD pipeline design and integration, ensuring automated workflows are robust and compliant
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of software development experience with deep Java backend expertise
- Strong proficiency in the Java ecosystem: Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Hibernate/JPA
- Experience designing and building RESTful and event-driven microservices architectures
- Solid front-end skills in React or Angular
- Hands-on experience deploying and architecting on GCP (BigQuery, Cloud Run, GKE)
