Full Stack Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Full Stack Engineer will modernize a fintech platform by contributing to both backend and frontend development, designing scalable solutions, and ensuring the integration of new services with existing legacy systems.

Key responsibilities

• Work across the full stack to contribute to data models, API contracts, and UI as the platform transitions to a modern stack
• Identify and avoid repeating bad legacy patterns while applying better practices in new development
• Design scalable solutions that integrate with a rigid legacy system, ensuring zero data loss and no downtime during transitions

Required qualifications

• 4+ years of experience shipping production full-stack applications
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript for both frontend and backend development
• Experience with NestJS or deep knowledge of Express/Fastify with dependency injection
• Proficiency in Next.js/React, including hooks and server-side rendering
• Experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL, including schema design, indexing, and migrations
