Full Stack Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely, the full-time Senior Software Engineer Full Stack will build and maintain features for the Astra AI platform, focusing on the integration of web applications with conversational AI agents to support pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic analysis and clinical trial workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain features across the React/TypeScript client and NestJS/TypeScript backend, including UI components and REST APIs
• Design and extend the client-server architecture, including state management, authentication, and real-time updates
• Collaborate on the integration layer between the web app and LLM-based agents, ensuring efficient data communication

Required qualifications

• Strong professional experience in building production-level full stack web applications
• Proficiency in TypeScript, with experience in both frontend (React) and backend (Node.js/NestJS) development
• Experience designing REST APIs and relational data models (PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
• Familiarity with message-queue or event-driven architectures (e.g., SQS)
• Ability to read and reason about systems integrating with LLMs and understanding agent/tool patterns
