Full Stack Software Engineer
Job Summary
To support a growing Product Engineering team, the Full Stack Software Engineer II will design, build, and deploy high-impact features for Shift5's product suite, ensuring operational readiness and fleet safety in both defense and commercial aviation, with the flexibility to work remotely or onsite in Rosslyn, VA.
Key responsibilities
- Design, build, and deliver new features and improvements to user interfaces and APIs
- Develop, debug, test, and maintain software solutions with high autonomy and velocity
- Facilitate architectural designs that meet business requirements, security, and quality standards
Required qualifications
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
- 3+ years of software development experience with a strong understanding of engineering practices
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and a modern frontend framework (React, Angular, or Vue)
- Experience with Go and REST APIs
- Familiarity with AWS, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines
