Full-Stack Software Engineer
Job Summary
To support the Rapid Online Assessment of Reading initiative, the full-time Full-Stack Software Engineer will design, build, and maintain features across the ROAR platform, focusing on frontend development with Vue.js while also contributing to backend services and API work in a fully remote environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Build and maintain Vue.js 3 frontends for dashboards and student-facing applications, emphasizing user experience and accessibility
- Design and implement RESTful APIs using TypeScript, Node.js, and PostgreSQL for backend services
- Collaborate with team members on code reviews, sprint planning, and documentation to ensure quality and best practices
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and three years of relevant experience or a combination of education and relevant experience
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript, with real working fluency in Vue.js 3 and experience with Node.js and Express
- Experience designing and building RESTful APIs and working with PostgreSQL
- Ability to work independently in a remote, asynchronous environment
- Familiarity with Git workflows, pull request reviews, and CI/CD pipelines
