Functional Tester

Job Summary

To support a Department of Veterans Affairs project, the full-time remote Functional Tester will execute test plans, validate application functionality, document defects, and assist in regression and user acceptance testing in an Agile environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop test plans and test cases based on business requirements and technical specifications
• Execute manual and automated tests to identify defects and ensure software quality standards are met
• Conduct regression testing and document test cases, results, and defects to support development and maintenance

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 4+ years of proven experience as a Functional Tester or in a similar role
• Proficiency in testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JIRA, Jenkins), scripting languages (e.g., Java, Python), and SQL
• Hands-on experience with SAFe/Agile frameworks and practices
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
