Fund Accountant

Job Summary

Executing core fund accounting workflows, the remote Fund Accountant will manage day-to-day tasks including transaction booking, maintain accurate general ledger records, and prepare financial statements for a defined set of venture funds.

Key responsibilities

• Execute day-to-day fund accounting tasks, including transaction booking, allocations, and capital activity
• Prepare periodic financial statements and supporting schedules while maintaining accurate general ledger records
• Support capital calls, distributions, and investor reporting processes, assisting with audit and tax preparation

Required qualifications

• 2-4+ years of experience in fund accounting, accounting, or fund administration
• Familiarity with venture capital or private equity fund structures
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage recurring deadlines across multiple funds
• Interest in improving accounting workflows through better systems, data, or automation
