Fund Accountant Consultant

Job Summary

To support a prestigious client base in the alternative investment industry, the remote Fractional Fund Accountant Consultant will provide expert accounting services for Hedge Funds and Family Offices, focusing on ongoing accounting needs, financial reporting, and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Managing ongoing accounting functions including pricing fund portfolios and processing accounting entries to produce P&L and performance reports
• Preparing financial statements, partner allocations, and handling investor requests while liaising with fund administrators and auditors
• Conducting best practice reviews and developing action plans to enhance client accounting processes and performance metrics

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
• Minimum of four years of experience in Portfolio or Fund Accounting within Hedge Funds, Family Offices, or related firms
• Familiarity with portfolio and fund accounting software such as Eze, Advent, or Aladdin
• Knowledge of various investment types, including public equity, private equity, and fixed income
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills
