Job Summary

A company is looking for a Funding Specialist.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and submit funding requests to clients for claims incurred by covered members of the group health plan
  • Facilitate payment transactions, including electronic payments and paper checks, for provider and vendor payments
  • Monitor and record financial transactions and approvals, release payments to providers, and fulfill administrative functions as needed
Required Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • 1-2 years' experience in a financial based role
  • Intermediate level experience with MS Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Functional knowledge and prior experience using MS Excel formulas required
  • Prior experience in healthcare preferred
