GAAP Accounting Manager

Job Summary

A company is looking for a GAAP Accounting Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP
• Mentor and supervise accounting team members while managing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
• Leverage modern finance tools and lead process improvement and automation of accounting workflows

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in the insurance industry
• Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting, with a focus on premium recognition and claims
• Familiarity with accounting software and proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience implementing or improving finance systems or processes is preferred
