Job Summary

To support AI-driven projects, the remote Expert Audio Transcriber for Galician will convert audio recordings of native speakers into precise written transcripts, applying expert linguistic judgment and adhering to project-specific style guides.

Key responsibilities

• Transcribe audio recordings into accurate, time-aligned written text following project-specific guidelines
• Make principled orthographic decisions for dialectal, colloquial, and code-switched speech while identifying speaker attributes and non-speech events
• Engage with QA reviewers and self-review submissions to maintain high-quality standards before delivery

Required qualifications

• Native fluency in Galician with lifelong residence or deep immersion in Galicia
• Mastery of Galician orthography per the Real Academia Galega guidelines
• At least two years of professional experience in transcription, captioning, or linguistic annotation
• Ability to transcribe Galician-Spanish code-switching naturally
• Comfortable with web-based annotation platforms and high-speed internet access
