Game Engineering Director

Job Summary

Leading a technology organization focused on innovative game experiences, the full-time remote Game Engineering Director will hire and manage a team of engineers, develop technology strategies, and collaborate with project leadership to deliver and maintain live production game services.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with project leadership to develop and maintain a product technology strategy aligned with project goals
• Direct the engineering organization to solve complex problems using innovative technologies while managing risks
• Recruit and nurture a diverse engineering team, providing support and guidance to senior engineering leads

Required qualifications

• Experience managing an organization of 20+ engineers on AAA game engineering teams
• Experience with developing and running online games in a live service environment
• Ability to translate strategic goals into technology solutions while understanding cost and quality tradeoffs
• Proficiency in communicating with diverse stakeholders to align objectives and negotiate goals
• Experience working with co-development engineering teams
