Gastroenterologist Physician Advisor

Job Summary

To support a healthcare venture capital fund, the part-time Gastroenterologist Physician Advisor will evaluate startups focused on GI diagnostics, procedural safety, and chronic disease management while collaborating with clinical peers and advising on investment decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct clinical reviews of technologies impacting GI screening and management workflows
• Evaluate safety claims and diagnostic accuracy related to GI conditions and treatments
• Advise portfolio companies on GI workflow realities and collaborate with multi-specialty clinical peers

Required qualifications

• Board-certified Gastroenterologist with experience in endoscopy, IBD, liver disease, and GI oncology
• Familiarity with colorectal screening standards and therapeutic biologics
• Experience with digital health platforms or predictive analytics (preferred but not required)
• Ability to translate GI workflow realities into investment evaluation and safety review
• Commitment to innovation in digestive health and population screening
