Job Summary

Supporting the IRS Enterprise API Gateway Modernization and Operations effort, the full-time remote Gateway Automation Engineer will develop and validate automation components, integrate with CI/CD platforms, and troubleshoot product-specific automation functionalities.

Key responsibilities

Develops and validates EAG/API-gateway automation components for integration with government-owned CI/CD platforms
Supports automated validation gates in onboarding and migration workflows, including specification and governance checks
Enhances and maintains observability integration through AppDynamics/ELK and supports the OpenTelemetry implementation roadmap

Required qualifications

7 years of experience in roles with similar responsibilities
Experience in developing and validating EAG/API-gateway automation components for government-owned CI/CD pipelines
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
Preferred: MBI certification
U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent resident status required
