GCP Data Engineer Tech Lead
Job Summary
Leading the design and development of scalable data pipelines, the contract GCP Data Engineer Tech Lead will work 100% remotely, focusing on architecture decisions, mentorship of junior engineers, and collaboration with product owners to ensure data quality and performance.
Key responsibilities
- Design and build scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows on GCP
- Lead architecture decisions and enforce best practices for data engineering
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct code reviews
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 10+ years in data engineering with strong GCP ecosystem experience
- Proven experience leading teams or acting as a technical lead
- Strong hands-on coding skills in Python and SQL
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Composer
