GEF Project Design Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a GEF Project Design Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise for the development and delivery of GEF-funded projects in alignment with FAO's strategic framework
• Support project proponents in the identification, development, and implementation of natural resource and environmental project proposals
• Coordinate GEF programming efforts and ensure compliance with GEF operational policies and procedures throughout the project cycle

Required Qualifications

• Advanced degree in agriculture, environmental science, or related field with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree with at least 7 years of experience
• Working knowledge of English
• Computer literacy is required
• Experience in project design and implementation related to agriculture and environmental management
• Familiarity with GEF programming priorities and approaches
