GEF Technical Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a GEF Technical Specialist (Europe and Central Asia).

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise and guidance for the development and implementation of GEF-funded projects
• Coordinate project design, formulation, and ensure compliance with GEF operational policies
• Support capacity development and resource mobilization for GEF programming in the region

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Advanced university degree in natural resources management, biological sciences, agriculture, or related field
• Three years of relevant experience in programming at the intersection of agrifood systems and the environment
• Working knowledge of English; proficiency in Russian is an advantage
• Experience in mobilizing resources and managing GEF projects or similar programs
• Knowledge of GEF procedures and experience in environmental investments in agriculture and related sectors
