Genealogy Research Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Genealogy Research Expert to assist users in finding specific people or records.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and assess incoming user research questions to determine user needs
• Produce structured research reports detailing findings, sources, and recommended next steps
• Explain the availability of records and recommend tailored research strategies

Required Qualifications

• B.A. in Family History & Genealogy or 1-2 years of genealogical research experience
• Hands-on experience with various record types, especially U.S. records
• Familiarity with the Genealogical Proof Standard or equivalent documentation practices
• Experience with major genealogy platforms and databases
• Certification (CG, AG) is a plus but not required
