General Accountant

Job Summary

To support accounting functions remotely during EST hours, the part-time General Accountant will prepare monthly journal entries, review general ledger details, and participate in the monthly close process while ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations with moderate to high complexity
• Review general ledger details and expenses to identify necessary adjustments and reclassifications
• Participate in the monthly general ledger close process, including preparation of related schedules and documentation for auditors

Required qualifications

• Proficiency in U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Experience with journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
• Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley controls
• Ability to analyze financial data and interpret results
• Experience in coordinating accounting tasks and processes
