Job Summary

A company is looking for a General Counsel to serve as the organization's top legal officer.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal counsel on corporate governance, partnerships, and regulatory compliance
• Oversee the foundation's compliance program and manage regulatory relationships
• Build and manage the internal legal function, including hiring and coordinating outside counsel

Required Qualifications

• J.D. from a top-tier law school and active bar membership in at least one US jurisdiction
• 10+ years of legal experience, particularly in digital assets or blockchain-related matters
• Deep knowledge of US securities law and regulatory frameworks applicable to digital assets
• Experience building legal and compliance functions in a high-growth environment
• Ability to operate autonomously and make judgment calls in a fast-paced setting
