Job Summary

A company is looking for a Head of Legal to establish and manage its legal function as a strategic partner to the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial agreements and manage the contract lifecycle
• Advise on employment law compliance and support HR-related legal matters
• Oversee corporate governance, compliance, and the management of legal operations

Required Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar admission in the US or Canada
• 8-12+ years of legal experience, preferably in both law firm and in-house tech or SaaS environments
• Experience with commercial contracts, employment law, and corporate governance
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and build legal processes from the ground up
• Cross-border fluency in US and Canadian employment and commercial law
