General Counsel

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time General Counsel, the ideal candidate will serve as the chief legal advisor to the board and executive team, directing the legal function and influencing business strategy in a remote capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all SEC reporting obligations and manage public company compliance and governance
• Iterate on legal infrastructure and build scalable legal processes to support company growth
• Provide strategic counsel and crisis management support during shareholder demands and regulatory inquiries

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of legal experience, including time at a public company or as outside counsel to public companies
• Deep fluency in SEC reporting, SOX compliance, and corporate governance
• Experience building public company legal functions from the ground up
• Solid grounding in equity compensation and employment law
• J.D. from an accredited law school
