General Counsel

Job Summary

To support a growing AI services company, the full-time General Counsel will develop and manage commercial legal strategies, oversee compliance and governance, and negotiate contracts while working remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and own the company's commercial legal strategy and contracting standards
• Negotiate and execute all material customer and partnership contracts, ensuring alignment with business objectives
• Oversee regulatory compliance and employment law matters, managing external counsel relationships as needed

Required Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience as a lawyer in a law firm or in-house at a B2B SaaS or high-growth technology company
• Substantial experience in negotiating and drafting commercial contracts with strong business judgment
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and employment law
• Strong business acumen, understanding venture funding dynamics and legal implications on operations
• Bilingual in French and English is strongly preferred
