Job Summary
Leading the legal function for a growing renewable energy platform, the full-time General Counsel - Renewable Energy will manage legal execution for utility-scale project financings, negotiate major commercial agreements, and provide strategic legal guidance to the executive team in a hybrid work environment with regular headquarters presence expected.
Key responsibilities
- Lead legal execution for utility-scale renewable energy project financings, including debt and structured capital transactions
- Advise on and negotiate major EPC, equipment supply, and project-related commercial agreements
- Manage external counsel across various legal matters while providing practical legal guidance to leadership
Required qualifications
- Significant legal experience within renewable energy, power, infrastructure, or a related asset-intensive sector
- Deep, hands-on project finance experience, including M&A and tax equity
- Demonstrated experience negotiating complex project contracts such as EPC agreements
- Experience within an IPP, renewable energy developer, or sponsor-backed portfolio company
- Familiarity with utility-scale solar, with storage or wind experience also relevant
