General Counsel - Texas Licensed
Job Summary
To support a growing global technology company, the fully remote General Counsel - Texas Licensed will provide strategic legal counsel to the CEO and Executive Leadership Team, oversee Legal, Risk, and Compliance functions, and manage complex commercial agreements and corporate governance matters.
Key responsibilities
- Act as a trusted legal advisor to the CEO, Board, and Executive Leadership Team
- Lead the Legal, Risk, and Compliance functions across multiple regions
- Review, draft, and negotiate complex commercial agreements and manage litigation and disputes
Required qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) or regional equivalent from an accredited law school with active membership in a US state bar, preferably Texas
- 15+ years of post-qualification legal experience, including significant in-house experience in SaaS or technology
- Previous experience as a General Counsel or senior legal leader
- Strong experience in commercial contracting, corporate law, privacy, and data protection
- Experience supporting M&A and corporate transactions across multiple jurisdictions
