Job Summary
To support a growing direct-to-consumer health technology company, the part-time In-House General Counsel with FTC experience will lead legal functions, focusing on data privacy compliance, commercial contract negotiation, and marketing regulations as the role transitions to full-time.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the company's data privacy and protection strategy, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
- Review and negotiate commercial agreements, including vendor and partnership contracts
- Provide legal guidance on marketing claims and advertising compliance to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements
Required qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and an active license to practice law
- 4+ years of legal experience, preferably in healthtech or direct-to-consumer companies
- Experience with data privacy regulations such as HIPAA and CCPA/CPRA
- Strong background in reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts
- Experience advising on marketing claims and consumer protection law
