General Extender

Job Summary

To support a growing radiology team, the full-time General Extender will augment a physician's ability to provide medical interpretation services, assist in creating and editing Radiology reports for accuracy, and manage patient orders in a 100% remote overnight position.

Key responsibilities

• Augment medical interpretation services and assist in the creation of Radiology Final Reports, ensuring compliance with AHA and ACR Guidelines
• Transcribe radiographic dictations into reports and manage the work list of patient orders for appropriate distribution to radiologists
• Collaborate with other General Extenders to ensure timely reading of all orders by radiologists

Required qualifications

• Associate's degree in health science or related field, or equivalent work experience
• One year of experience as a Medical Transcriptionist or Medical Editor
• One year of work experience requiring daily use of medical terminology and knowledge of human anatomy
