General Ledger Accountant

Job Summary

A company in the Accounting industry is looking for a General Ledger Accountant.

Position Responsibilities:

• Record cash settlement and reconcile bank and credit card transactions
• Prepare journal entries, analyses, and general ledger account reconciliations
• Research overpayments, initiate refund requests, and classify bank fees

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree with emphasis in Accounting and 2+ years of experience across Big 4 audit and/or fast paced corporate accounting environments
• Understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
• Experience participating in month-end closing activities
• Detail oriented, organized, and analytical with strong problem-solving skills
• Strong proficiency with Excel and adaptability to new technology and tools
