General Liability Claims Adjuster

Job Summary

Working remotely, the full-time General Liability Claims Adjuster will conduct detailed analyses of claims exposure, negotiate settlements, and interact with various parties involved in the claims process while mentoring lower-level adjusters.

Key responsibilities

• Independently investigate, evaluate, and resolve complex claims while recommending appropriate settlement strategies
• Create reservation of rights and coverage denial letters, and negotiate settlements directly with involved parties
• Document and communicate claim activity efficiently to support the claim file outcomes

Required qualifications

• High school diploma
• 7 or more years of related claims experience with a proven track record in handling complex claims at a senior adjuster level
• Active adjusters' licenses in relevant jurisdictions (TX, FL, NY, HI, and RI preferred)
• Knowledge of accepted industry standards and practices
• Experience with claims and business software
